NOTD ~ Pink with Pink

I thought of trying pink nails again. I used Depend's 167 and China Glaze's Pink Voltage (Neon) to the ends. This is what it came like. I'm not really that good with free-hand manicures.

The China Glaze pink is real neon pink, doesn't really show on pics and Depend is bit darker pink.

 

  

 

LOTD ~ Blue and brown

I've been feeling really sick today and had to leave work mid-day. Headache is finally going away after banging my head for over a day and food seems to keep in.

This morning I wanted to put some make up on but still a co-worker said I looked pale - I always look pale.

Pics are taken after 12h of keeping them - working, napping and walking outside - and I didn't wear today either any eyeshadow primer.

Blue is from my Isadora's Pool Cocktail quattro eyeshadow and brown is from some Oriflame duo eyeshadow in Walnut Pearls.

 

  

  

My boyfriend is flying to Finland tomorrow - with my UD Alice in Wonderland palette! - so I might be quiet for next week. Going to Stockholm on Tuesday and returning on Thursday.

Bone shoes!

I was reading BBC news from their website and came across with photos of the week. And there were these fantastic shoes from Dsquared2's Milan Fashion Week show (clothes are fantastic too!):

 

  

  

 Of course it reminded me of few other bones/skull boots I've seen lately and the other one's - naturally - Alexander McQueen's bone-like shoes from Plato's Atlantis collection.

 

Then I found these ankle boots that could be worn even everyday since they aren't as crazy as catwalk shoes.Gianni Barbato's Skull Heels:

 

But now I really fell in love with Dsquared2's collection. Have to browse more of them and drool only since I couldn't afford the clothes.

LOTD ~ Heartsease

I thought I could do some brighter make up since it was quite sunny in the morning (didn't last long). I have Isadora's cool Pool Cocktail Eye Shadow Quartet and since purple and yellow are opposite colours thought I could use them.

Pics are taken after midnight which means I've had the eyeshadow on for 16h. It has faded away a bit but not as badly as I thought since I didn't use any eye shadow primer today, only Gosh X-ceptional Wear foundation for lids too.

 

  

 

LOTD ~ Western Maiko

This make up was inspired by a documentary I watched some time ago about Kyoto Maikos. The weather today is quite bad - and has been for past few months - so didn't want to do too dark make up that would only end up running down my face after the wind and snow. I'm not using the red lipstick outside either, it was only for the photoshoot.

 

  

  

  

 

NOTD ~ New York in Helsinki

I've seen a lot of grey nail polishes on people so wanted to get nail cream myself too. The only one that looked nice enough was Mavala's New York so bought it. And love it! Needed only one coat to have opaque polish on my nails. I was in a bit hurry for the gigs so wouldn't have had more time to let another coat to dry either.

 

 

LOTD ~ Pervert East

I haven't put any LOTDs lately since honestly I haven't had any interesting ones. This week has been really weird for me, slept only 2h on the night between Sunday and Monday and it made me feel really weird and sick for rest of the week. Didn't have strength in the mornings to think of nice make ups so I just used nude ones or only eyeliner.

Which I updated to Finnish Metal Expo 2010 - to see Hypocrisy and Satyricon which both kicked ass - with Make Up Store's Microshadow - East and UD's matte eye shadow - Perversion to look like this:

 

  

 

 

NOTD ~ Yellowish Green

I bought this BeYu nail polish nr. 289 awhile ago but haven't tried it before. Wanted to get rid of the Gosh's Milky Way so thought I could try this while I hunt for some nice creme grey polish.

This seems nice enough colour for summer/spring if you don't want too flashy fingers. Its colour changes from yellow to yellowish light green depending on the colour and it shimmers a bit.

Here are two photos to give you some idea what it looks like irl. Unfortunately it's night so can't take one with natural light.

 

  

 

MAC's Alexander McQueen lipglass Fall 2007 - Nothingless

So finally after weeks and weeks of wait I got my lipglass. I ordered this ages ago and apparently it was returned to UK at some point but now it reached me.

The colour is some white and golden pearly kinda colour. On my lips it doesn't really show any colour, just shimmers nicely. Nothing dramatic but then again I don't like lipglosses with too much colour since they tend to run to the creases of the lips. Lip gloss is quite sticky but the colour seems to last long enough without being gone after first sip or bite of something.

 

  

  

  

NOTD ~ Milky Way

I like Gosh's Purple Passion and Metallic Green but Milky Way just doesn't get me on its side. It's really watery, needed thick 3 coats to make it even somewhat opaque. Dries slowly and today my nails are full of bubbles. Also the nail polish is still quite elastic so some of it has already peeled off.

Would be nice colour if it would be as easy to handle as more metallic lacquers. I also ripped out my gel nails so the surface of my nails are uneven atm which doesn't make it any better for this lacquer.

 

  

 

Pink Eyeshadow and Black nails.

I thought I could shock my co-workers for Valentine's with pink make up but no one mentioned. Maybe I've had too many experimental colours lately that they've stopped paying attention. I just used white eyeshadow to whole upper lid until under eyebrow and one hot pink plus black eyeliner.

 

  

I needed to redo my nails so I went for Depend nr. 104 which is black with silver glitter in it. I used 2 coats and still could've used 3rd on some nails. I used Fauxnad E04 to make lips and "LOVE" to my left ring finger.

 

LOTD ~ Decayed

Just a quick post before I go to bed about my today's look. I used only UD Ammo palette and colours: Shattered, Mildew, Last Call and Polyester Bride (for highlight).

Can't really find anything to say :( He was most definitely my favourite designer.

LOTD ~ Grifter's Last Call

I've been feeling really bad today, first thought I cba to update the blog but then thought why not since I will sit here for at least an hour chatting to my bf before going to sleep anyway. Luckily I got doctor's appointment for tomorrow so hopefully will start to feel better soon.

Today - again - I used UD's Ammo box and thought I could use less used eyeshadows like Grifter and Last Call. I also put some Oil Slick to outer corners to give my eye some shape plus used Gosh's glamorous eyeshadow in Beige for inner corners and as a highlighter.
