Poison Ivy

So yeah, MUG has a competition for comic make up. I'm not posting this there yet since I might do another look next weekend but I'll post it here at least.

Like title says I did look inspired by Poison Ivy. This was actually my boyfriend's idea since I was thinking of red haired comic chars and couldn't really think many that actually have make up on.

And one without the excess stuff.

I also did nails to sort of fit the look with some nailpolish I got today. The flower vine is from some fauxnad plate.

a song from your favorite album

I have many albums I really like but the one I've enjoyed for many years is Manic Street Preachers' The Holy Bible. I absolutely adore the whole album and every song in it and my favourite from it has been She Is Suffering from the start.

LOTD ~ Sour Apple

I wanted to make light enough look for today. Also it needed to be fast since I was pressed with time this morning more than normally. And I wanted to use green. So instead of darker greens I usually wear I went for lighter ones that reminded me of apple.

All colours are from my 96 palette. There's at least light yellow (shimmery), light green (shimmery) and matte apple green.

As I don't listen to much radio I really don't mind usually what they play. In general I wish even the Radio Rock would play more metal. Oh yeah, there's one song I'd like to hear on a normal radio station:

This one was easy - for a change. Only place I listen to radio is my sister's car but I've used to us listening to Radio Rock but lately she's been listening to other channels so Adam Lambert's latest If I Had You has been playing on the channels a lot.

Actually this look was inspired by NARS fall 2010 collection but I didn't want to make the look so dramatic so just used lighter touch of purple and yellow.

It was damn hard to think of a song I liked and now hate. I just don't listen to them or get tired of them but don't start to hate. This next song is only song I could think of that I don't like at all nowadays. But then again I don't like RHCP anymore really at all. Plus this version is the only I could find and it's a remake.

Today I wanted to make bit darker look since I woke up to a sound of thunder tearing up the sky. But it ended up being close to 30 degrees later the day and humid which ended up badly for my make up; black was all in eye crease half-way through the work day. So wasn't that succesful look.

a song that describes you

The reason I chose this song is that I've been called Ice Queen by people because of my skin is usually always cold. My boyfriends likes to cool by putting his head to my arm when it's hot in summer. Doesn't help me tho when I'm sweating. Apparently it's good for something. Otherwise, don't think this songs describes me.

a song that no one would expect you to love

Hmm... I think there are a lot of songs people wouldn't expect me to like since I'm not totally stuck on metal. I like Christina Aguilera's voice and Hurt is amazing song that shows her strength in singing: versatile use of voice.

LOTD ~ Golden girl

So today I went for a coffee with my co-worker and since we hit back to around 30 after yesterday's 17 degrees it was back to golden/brown eye makeup.

I got inspiration for this simple look yesterday when I watched Leaves' Eyes music video for Elegy and Liv Kristine has simple golden look in that one.

I also had some fun yesterday with my lips. Was too tired to do full make up so I just wanted to try few looks with lips. First is easy but can't really wear it anywhere. It's made with lipstick and sugar sprinkles.

I didn't have any colourful sprinkles so those had to do.

Another one I tried and failed but still looks ok in pictures. Just red lipstick, red lipgloss and black liner (I used eyeliner since I don't have black lipliner but it smeared when putting on lipgloss).

I don't have THAT pointy tooth tho even tho it's pointy enough but I wanted to try a bit more vampire-ish look with that one. I'm still mad at my dentist who didn't give me braces when I was young since now they'd be that long. My canine teeth are higher than rest of my teeth so they'd be quite long compared to the other teeth if they'd just lowered to normal level but no... Oh well. And this last pic is just because I was actually shocked to see my skin can look that smooth without photoshop in pictures. Also it shows how hard it is to sometimes take pictures of yourself without being able to look the focus point first.
