I need your help and suggestions!

As I may have mentioned somewhere I'm going to UK in a bit over a week and this time I have a dilemma - tbh it's quite normal for me - called: WHAT TO BUY?! I want to buy cosmetics/skincare products that I can't get from Finland but honestly have no idea which ones are good. I know of Urban Decay, Benefit and Too Faced etc but I mean the cheap ones since I'd want to try them too.

If any of you have any suggestions from brands like Bourjois, Barry M, Topshop cosmetics, 17, No7 etc which ones are good or I just need to get - now - then please tell me. Mainly mean shops like Boots or Superdrug that can be found in Cambridge since not sure how much time I'm going to spend in London - if much any.

Your help would be appreciated!

LOTD ~ Bohemian Red Gypsy

So this is a look I did with Gosh Bohemian Gypsy palette. I did use all colours but mainly the reds. I just really need to find a base and brush for eyeshadows since they need better sticky brush/base than what I had. I used Oriflame black eyeshadow pen over UDPP and still was hard to get the eyeshadows stick. And I know it's only my technique being bad.

Pictures were taken after workday so there is slight creasing going on but I'm surprised how well the eye make up lasted.

End of August haul pt. II - Mavala

I only thought of buying the two Gosh palettes - I swear! - but then I saw Mavala nail polishes on sale. Only bought one since I didn't want the whites and pinks they had. And then I saw the matte top coat on sale too so yeah, took it also. The Cuticle Oil I got for free.

Of course I had to try the nail polish and the top coat.

With only Mauve Cendré.

With matt top coat on thumb, index finger and pinky finger nails.

And on rest of the nails too.

I love the top coat! It makes nail polishes look so different and hot! I wish my nails were longer so I could try it as a French manicure - do just the tips with it.

End of August haul pt. I - Gosh

I was shopping yesterday and bought some Gosh and some Mavala (which will come straight after this post). The Gosh I got were the two gypsy palettes I have wanted for some time already but now I got them with -15% so finally thought it is a good day to buy them. Especially since when I went to shop I found out the modern gypsy palette was the last one in that shop - at least on show.

So here are the pics of the palettes.

And some really poor swatches. The above row is of bohemian gypsy and lower is modern gypsy.

Honestly I want someone to tell me on which base these work best! Or with what brush since apparently my The Body Shop eyeshadow brush can't really pick up the shadows.

LOTD ~ Struck with Cold

Yeah, I'm struck with cold so my face looks puffy and otherwise I would've had a make up free day but I had to go to shops. So thought with puffy eyes I don't do any dramatic eye makeup so came up with this.

I only used UD Flipside pen and eyeshadow for the look (and of course waterproof mascara).

LOTDs ~ Yellow Rebel and Vanity

The first look which I named Yellow Rebel is taken from MAC Face chart called Gold Rebel but since I didn't use gold but yellow instead I thought name would be a bit misleading.

Done with 96 palette and Queen from UD AIW palette.

With this look I tried to recreate Gaga's look for Vanity Fair magazine but the shape is wrong so I will continue trying.

Done with 96 palette, UD AIW palette and Gosh eyeliner.

NOTD ~ Changes

Why I called this post changes? Well it has two reasons. First the lotd is transformed from the MDB album cover look I did (wiped off the "blood" and blended white dots into the rest of the eyeshadows). Secondly, the nail polish looks blue in a bottle and if applied heavily but it's purple if you have few thin layers instead.

Get Covered - For Lies I Sire

Don´t worry, did not wear this look outside today. At home with my daughter for the day so thought I could actually do a make up that I  couldn´t wear out now that I have time. I tried few other looks but apparently today is a bad make up day. This isn´t as good as I wanted it to be but better than nothing - and I would´ve give up if this wasn´t ok enough.

For Lies I Sire is an album from my favourite band My Dying Bride and I really like the cover art.

This is my interpretation of the cover art in make up.

LOTDs ~ Psychotic mind

Again 2 LOTDs in one post. My daughter got fever yesterday at pre-school so spending today and tomorrow with her at home.

This was my yesterday's look for work. Brown eyeshadow and grey liner, simple and fast.

Today I did quick one when I popped into the shop to get some food for us. Left my daughter alone for the first time for that 20mins I spent on the trip to shop. I don't think she moved from the spot in couch she was when I left.

Anyway today's make up was done with Hi-Fi Cosmetic's Psycho Mind which is absolutely lovely eyeshadow.

Also I think I might get enough of Barbie movies after these few days. We have them all except the Christmas one (need to find that) and there's new one coming this autumn which is about FASHION. My sister will probably throw it out after first few seconds.
